Thomas Merrill

Thomas Merrill, born on April 17, 1986, is an accomplished American racing driver making his mark in the world of motorsports, especially in the Trans-Am Series. Growing up in a racing family, with both parents involved in Porsche Club events, Merrill's passion for racing ignited early. He began karting at the age of eight, securing his first title at eleven in 1998, followed by an impressive streak of six consecutive championships, including national titles in 2005 and 2006.

Transitioning to sports car racing in 2008, Merrill participated in the Rolex Sports Car Series with PR1 Motorsports, achieving a best finish of 12th. He continued to expand his racing resume, including appearances at the 24 Hours of Daytona. In more recent years, Merrill has become a prominent figure in the Trans Am Championship, accumulating 10 wins in the TA2 class with teams like Big Diehl Racing and Mike Cope Racing. His versatility extends to the IMSA Prototype Challenge, where he consistently achieves podium finishes with K2R Motorsports.

Merrill's recent accomplishments include securing the 2022 Trans-Am Series TA2-class title and being part of the 2023 Asian Le Mans Series championship-winning team in the GT class alongside Nicky Catsburg and Chandler Hull.
