Suellio Almeida

Suellio Almeida, born March 3, 1994, is a Brazilian racing driver who has made a unique transition from the world of sim racing to real-world motorsports. His journey began with a Logitech G29 steering wheel, fueled by a passion for racing games like Gran Turismo. Lacking a traditional karting background or significant financial backing, Suellio honed his skills online, eventually becoming a top iRacing competitor and Canadian champion. To fund his university studies, he started coaching other sim racers, developing a successful online course and a reputation for his insightful teaching methods. This success allowed him to purchase a real race car and pursue his dream of racing in real life.

In 2024, Almeida captured the Radical North America Cup Pro 1340 Championship, proving that sim racing skills could translate to real-world success. This victory opened doors to various opportunities, including offers to race in GT3, GT4, and LMP3 categories. For the 2025 season, Almeida is taking a major step forward, joining Bryan Herta Autosport to compete in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge driving a Hyundai Elantra N TCR. This marks his debut in one of the top touring car racing series in the United States.
