Racing Driver Ricky Collard

Ricky Collard, born on July 30, 1996, is a British racing driver making his mark in the world of motorsport. Hailing from a racing family – son of former BTCC driver Rob Collard and grandson of Hot Rod racer Mick Collard – Ricky has racing in his blood. Currently competing in the British GT Championship, Collard has built a diverse career across various racing disciplines.

Collard's journey began in karting at a young age, achieving notable results in British and international championships. Transitioning to car racing, he quickly proved his talent in the Ginetta Junior Championship and British Formula Ford. In 2015, he finished as runner-up in the MSA Formula Championship, showcasing his potential early on. He continued to impress in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship in 2016, again securing second place.

Ricky's career has included stints in GT racing, including the ADAC GT Masters and GT World Challenge Europe, where he achieved a win at the Nürburgring in 2019. He made his debut in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in 2018, filling in for his injured father at Team BMW. After racing in GT series, Collard returned to the BTCC in 2022 with Toyota Gazoo Racing UK, initially struggling before finding his form and securing a best finish of fourth. Despite briefly announcing his retirement, he re-signed with the team for the 2023 season. In 2024, he won the British GT Championship.
