About Ramez Azzam
Ramez Azzam is a Canadian racing driver born on July 9, 1991, in Dubai, UAE. Although Canadian, he has also competed under the Emirati flag. Azzam's career began in karting, progressing to the Rotax Max Challenge UAE Senior where he finished second. He then spent three years racing in Formula Renault, including Formula Renault Campus France, Eurocup, and WEC.
After a few seasons in various series like the Speedcar Series, Maserati Trofeo JBF RAK, and the Gulf Radical Cup, Azzam secured second overall in the WGA Supercars Middle East Championship. He continued to dominate in karting, winning the SWS World Finals twice and the Dubai Endurance Championship multiple times. In 2019, he returned to car racing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Championship, achieving a perfect record of 6 wins in 6 races in the Pro-Am class.
Azzam is also a certified Class A driving instructor in the UAE, coaching drivers since 2010 and working with teams like Dragon Racing and Xcel Motorsport. In 2022, he was the Gulf Radical Cup Champion. His recent racing activity includes participation in the Michelin 24H Series Middle East Trophy and the Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours.
