Racing Driver Parker Thompson

Parker Thompson, born on March 2, 1998, is a Canadian race car driver hailing from Red Deer, Alberta. Thompson's racing journey began at the young age of eight, competing in karting events near his hometown. Progressing through the ranks, he achieved international recognition in karting, including a third-place finish in the junior category at the Rotax World Karting Finals in 2012.

Transitioning to open-wheel racing in 2015, Thompson quickly made his mark on the Road to Indy. He secured second place in the 2016 U.S. F2000 Championship and repeated this feat in the 2018 Pro Mazda Championship. His open-wheel accomplishments also include winning the Canadian Formula 1600 Super Series Championship in 2017. Notably, he holds the record for the most top-five finishes across all Road to Indy series after six seasons (2015-2020).

In recent years, Thompson has shifted his focus to sports car racing. He competed full-time in the IMSA Porsche Carrera Cup North America, finishing third in 2021 and claiming the championship title in 2022. Since 2023, he has been a part of Vasser Sullivan Racing, piloting the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. In 2024, alongside Ben Barnicoat, he secured a GTD class victory at Long Beach, where he also set the GT class track record. Thompson's career highlights include multiple pole positions, wins, and podium finishes in various IMSA series, demonstrating his versatility and skill across different racing disciplines. Entering 2025, Thompson continues with Vasser Sullivan, partnering with Jack Hawksworth.
