About Michael Lewis

Michael James Lewis, born on December 24, 1990, in Laguna Beach, California, is a highly accomplished American race car driver with a diverse background in motorsport. The son of Steve Lewis, owner of Nine Racing Midget Team and former owner of Performance Racing Industry, Michael's passion for racing ignited early. He has competed in various racing disciplines, including Formula 3, Formula BMW, Ford Focus Midgets, Touring Cars, Late Model Stock Cars, Quarter Midgets, and go-karts. Notably, Michael tested a Formula One car for Scuderia Ferrari F1 in 2011, a testament to his skill and potential.

Lewis has achieved significant success throughout his career. He is a three-time IMSA TCR Champion (2019, 2021, 2022) and has secured wins in GT3 races. In 2023, he participated in the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring, finishing P2 in class and P29 overall, setting the pole position in class. His accomplishments also include wins in Formula 3 Italia and Formula 3 Euroseries, and he was an IKF Region 7 TAG Karting Champion and a multi-class Pomona Valley Quarter Midget Champion.

Known for his professionalism and strong work ethic, Michael is dedicated to motorsport. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a degree in American Studies. His racing endeavors in 2023 included the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and various races preparing for the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
