Matthew Elwin Bell, born on August 31, 1985, is an accomplished American professional race car driver hailing from Mountain View, California. While growing up in Los Altos, he attended Mountain View High School, graduating in 2004, and subsequently studied transportation design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. However, his passion for racing soon took center stage.

Bell began his motorsport journey relatively later than most, at age 22. He embarked on his professional career in 2008, joining the Grand America Road Racing Association Koni Challenge Series with Turner Motorsport, where he raced for two years. In 2010, he moved to Stevenson Motorsport, driving the No. 6 Sunoco Camaro. Beyond his driving career, Bell is also an instructor at the Jim Russell Racing School.

In 2012, Bell made his debut in NASCAR's Nationwide Series (now Xfinity Series) at Road America, driving the No. 4 Chevrolet for JD Motorsports. He returned to the series in 2017 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, driving the No. 90 for King Autosport.
