Laura Camps torras

Laura Camps Torras is a rising star in the world of motorsports, hailing from Spain. She began her karting journey at the age of 10. Demonstrating early talent, she secured her first karting victory in the Valencian Karting Championship at the Lucas Guerrero de Chiva International Circuit in October 2020. Currently, she competes in the Spanish Championship (CEK) in the KZ category with Faluga Racing.

Camps Torras's path into racing wasn't typical. Unlike many drivers with family steeped in motorsport, her introduction came through a rental karting experience at around 8 or 9 years old, initiated by her father. Recognizing her potential and passion, her father enrolled her in a karting program and supported her development, eventually creating a karting club to organize races. She acknowledges her father's fundamental role in her career, noting his unwavering support for her aspirations.

Inspired by successful female drivers like Marta Garcia, Belen Garcia, and Nerea Marti, Camps Torras is determined to make her mark in the racing world. In 2021, she was selected for the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars program and was accepted into the prestigious Ferrari Driver Academy. While she acknowledges her strong driving skills and teamwork abilities, she identifies aggressiveness and decisiveness in overtaking maneuvers as areas for improvement. Her journey reflects a blend of talent, determination, and the invaluable support of her family as she strives to climb the ranks of professional racing.
