Karl Vandewoestyne

Karl Vandewoestyne is a French racing driver currently competing in the Ultimate Cup Series. While a relative latecomer to motorsport, Karl has quickly made a name for himself in the GT ranks. Alongside his brother César, Karl didn't start his racing journey in karting, instead beginning with track days in a Porsche GT3 RS at Le Castellet. This passion project escalated when their father purchased a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, leading the brothers to venture into the world of competitive racing.

In 2024, Karl is actively participating in both the GT Sprint and GT Endurance categories of the Ultimate Cup Series with team 2B Autosport. This demanding schedule involves multiple 20-minute sprint races and a 4-hour endurance event each weekend, requiring significant physical and mental fortitude. He achieved early success in the season, securing multiple wins in the GT Sprint category at Paul Ricard. Karl expresses a strong desire to compete for the Porsche Cup title in GT Sprint. In the GT Endurance series, he partners with his brother César, aiming for strong results and enjoying the experience as a family.

Karl's FIA Driver Categorisation is Silver. Before joining the Ultimate Cup European Series, the Vandewoestyne brothers competed in the Roscar GT Challenge. Karl appreciates the high level of competition, the diversity of cars, and the overall atmosphere within the Ultimate Cup Series. He and his brother share data and videos, working together to improve, regardless of the category they are competing in.
