Jukuchou Sunako

Jukuchou Sunako, born Tomohiko Sunako on November 6, 1964, is a semi-retired Japanese racing driver, motoring journalist, and driving instructor. The Tokyo native is the son of Yoshikazu Sunako, a former Nissan works racing driver and Yamaha factory motorcycle racer, instilling a passion for motorsports early on. While information on the early stages of his career is limited, Sunako has had a long and successful career in Japanese motorsports.

Sunako has achieved significant success in the GT300 class of Super GT, racing for eleven seasons. In 1996, he won the Super Taikyu Class 1 Series Championship driving a Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R. More recently, he has focused on GT4 racing in the SRO GT World Challenge Asia. Driving for BMW Team Studie, he secured the GT4 Teams Championship in 2018 and the GT4 Drivers' Championship in 2019. In the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia series, he has achieved multiple podium finishes and race wins, demonstrating his skill and consistency.
