Jordan Wallace

Jordan Wallace is a rising star in the world of motorsports, making history as the first African American driver to compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America. The 37-year-old racer, supported by Vision Motorsports and driving for Kellymoss, pilots the No. 23 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the Pro-Am class.

Wallace's journey to professional racing was not a traditional one. Before dedicating himself to motorsports, he worked as a cook, mechanic, and driving coach, even teaching teen driver safety and assisting individuals recovering from car accidents. His initial foray into cars involved drifting, which eventually led him to the racetrack and a desire for sports car racing. Despite early discouragement, Wallace found success in karting, earning Rookie of the Year honors and a championship. He honed his adaptability in rental karts, a skill that has become a strength in his racing career.

Transitioning to sports car racing in 2021, Wallace quickly made his mark, securing two wins and four podium finishes in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, becoming the first African American to win a race in that series. He then gained experience in Europe, competing in the DTM Trophy and SRO GT4 series. Wallace's participation in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America represents a significant step in his career, and he aims to break down barriers and make the sport more accessible to all. As of August 2024, he was placed fifth in the Pro-Am class.
