Racing Driver Jonas Gelzinis

Jonas Gelzinis, born on March 2, 1988, is a highly accomplished Lithuanian racing driver with a diverse and impressive motorsport career. Gelzinis began his journey in karting, securing a Lithuanian karting championship in the "Raket" class. He further honed his skills in the "ICA Junior" class from 2001 to 2003 before transitioning to rallying in 2005. In rally "Aplink Lietuvą" (Around Lithuania), he showcased his versatility by finishing fourth in the "A/R 2000" class.

Gelzinis's career highlights include winning the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain Pro-Am1 class championship in 2011. Progressing to the Pro class in 2012, he consistently demonstrated his talent, ultimately finishing as runner-up in 2013. He has also achieved remarkable success in endurance racing, securing a record ten victories in the Palanga 1000km Challenge. His talent was recognized internationally when he was selected for the FIA 2012 Young Driver Excellence Academy, an honor reserved for only 18 young drivers worldwide. Moreover, Jonas was also selected for 2013 PORSCHE INTERNATIONAL CUP SCHOLARSHIP shootout. Together with Earl Bamber, Johan Kristoffersson and other top drivers from Porsche Carrera Cups.
