Grant Johnson

Grant Johnson is an Australian racing driver with a career spanning several racing series. Born on April 19, 1974, in Perth, Western Australia, Johnson's early exposure to motorsport came from his father, who transitioned from speedway to circuit racing. Grant began his racing journey in a V8 VL Commodore. He gained experience in local V8 Supercar rounds during the mid-to-late 1990s, participating in events like Bathurst. He also partnered with drivers such as Nathan Pretty and Darcy Russell in Commodores.

Johnson's racing resume includes achievements in the second tier Supercar series and a fifth-place finish in the Super Touring Championship while driving a Ford Mondeo. Nicknamed "Grunta" during his time in the V8 Utes series, he secured two championships in Commodores. Additionally, he competed in the state Saloon Car championship and the Australian Saloon Car Nationals. He has 97 wins, 30 poles, 367 races and 171 podiums. Johnson also has international racing experience, including races with Team Mirage in Europe and endurance events in Malaysia with fellow Australian drivers.
