Ernie Francis jr

Ernie Francis Jr., born on January 23, 1998, is a highly accomplished American race car driver with a diverse background in sports car and stock car racing. Currently competing in Indy NXT with Force Indy, Francis first gained prominence in the Trans-Am Series, where he secured an impressive seven championships driving the No. 98 car for Breathless Racing. His early success made him the youngest Trans-Am champion at just 16 years old. In 2021, he showcased his versatility by participating in the Formula Regional Americas Championship and the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), where he became the youngest race winner in SRX history at Lucas Oil Raceway and finished second in the championship.

Francis's career extends beyond sports cars; he has also ventured into NASCAR, with part-time appearances in both the Xfinity Series and the K&N Pro Series East. In 2017, he debuted in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He also drove for Rev Racing in the K&N Pro Series East. In 2024, Francis is competing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series, co-driving with Giano Taurino for TR3 Racing. They quickly found success, securing a Pro class win at Sebring International Raceway.

Outside of racing, Francis remains deeply involved in the family's racing business, Breathless Racing Team, in Davie, Florida, where he works alongside his father, Ernie Francis Sr., and stepmother, Monica Zima Francis. His technical skills extend to motorsports automotive tasks at Breathless Racing Team, demonstrating his commitment to the sport both on and off the track. With a career spanning various racing disciplines, Ernie Francis Jr. continues to establish himself as a dynamic and accomplished driver in the world of motorsports.
