Demitria Chalkias

Demitria Chalkias is a Canadian professional race car driver with over 10 years of racing experience. Hailing from a small town outside of Toronto, Ontario, Demitria always had a passion for anything with an engine. Before dedicating herself to racing, she was a competitive triathlete, even competing in World Championship qualifiers. Unfortunately, a hip injury forced her to retire from triathlons, leading her to pursue her other passion: racing.

Demitria began her racing journey with go-karts and quickly progressed to advanced driving schools. Her dedication and talent soon translated into success on the track. In 2018, she clinched the CASC Pirelli GT4 Sprint Championship in her home-built race car, and in 2020, she became the first female driver to win the CASC Pirelli GT3 Sprint Championship. In 2023, she finished second in the FEL Motorsports Sports Car Championship in Canada, piloting a Mercedes AMG-GT4. Currently, she is competing full-time in the United States for the 2024 season with JMF Motorsport in the SRO Pirelli GT4 America series, driving the #34 AMG-GT4.

Beyond her racing achievements, Demitria is known for inspiring young women to pursue their dreams in motorsports and beyond. She uses her platform to raise money for various charities and works as a motivational speaker. She was also featured in a full-length documentary, "The Car Knows No Difference," which highlights her journey and that of other female drivers in the sport. Demitria's helmet features a Greek evil eye symbol for protection and to ward off negative energy as she continues to race towards victory.
