Daniel Thomas Gaunt, born on February 27, 1985, is a highly accomplished racing driver hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. Gaunt's career spans various racing disciplines, showcasing his versatility and skill behind the wheel. He began his ascent through the ranks of New Zealand Formula Ford, securing a notable third-place finish in the 2002 New Zealand Grand Prix. He then ventured to Australia, where he clinched the 2003 Australian Drivers' Championship in the Formula 4000 category. Gaunt's early successes also include winning the 2004 Lady Wigram Trophy and the 2006 Toyota Racing Series title.
