Damon Surzyshyn

Damon Surzyshyn is a Canadian race car driver hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has built a diverse career in motorsports, participating in various racing disciplines, including the Pirelli World Challenge, Formula Vee, Ice Racing, and Autocross. Surzyshyn's passion for racing began with go-karts, and he honed his skills at the Jim Russell Racing School at Mt. Tremblant, solidifying his love for open-wheel racing.

Surzyshyn's early racing endeavors included Autocross with the Winnipeg Sports Car Club, eventually progressing to Formula Vee. His debut year in Formula Vee was marked by success, achieving podium finishes and earning the Rookie of the Year award. He later transitioned to professional touring car racing, competing in the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge TCB series at the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama. More recently, Damon has participated in the GT4 America series, driving a BMW M4 GT4 for Fast Track Racing and an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the ADAC GT4 Germany. In 2022, he partnered with Greg Liefooghe in the GT4 America series.

Beyond racing, Surzyshyn is also a producer and performer in the documentary series "Going Pro SRO America," which chronicles his journey in professional racing. Moreover, Damon is involved in his community, supporting charities such as Beyond Borders, Winnipeg Harvest, and the Canadian Cancer Society. He also manages promotions as a board member for the Winnipeg Sports Car Club. Damon runs Nomad Digital, a production company specializing in commercial, corporate, documentary, and television production.
