Charles Crews

Charles Richard "C.R." Crews, born on May 30, 1988, is an American race car driver hailing from Dallas, Texas. Crews' racing journey began early, showcasing immense talent from a young age. An early graduate of a Dallas prep school, he quickly immersed himself in the Indy Racing League's development system. Notably, he secured a victory in his very first Formula Mazda race at just 14 years old, signaling the start of a promising career.

Crews further honed his skills in the Indy Lights championship, participating in eleven races across three seasons with various teams, most notably with Michael Crawford Motorsports. At the time of his debut, he was the youngest driver ever to compete in what was then called the Indy Pro Series. His career also includes competing in the 24 Hours of Daytona, the Star Mazda Championship, and in championship karting on four continents. More recently, Crews has participated in endurance racing events, including the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series, Michelin Le Mans Cup, and IMSA Prototype Challenge, demonstrating his versatility across different racing formats. In 2023, he was a driver coach for Nolan Siegel in Indy NXT.

Despite facing setbacks, such as a deal to compete in the 2007 Indianapolis 500 falling through and failing to complete rookie orientation in 2008 due to weather, Crews has remained dedicated to motorsports. His diverse experience and unwavering commitment solidify his presence in the racing world, he also graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in December 2010 with Cum Laude Honors.
