Bill Sweedler

William "Bill" Sweedler, born on October 10, 1966, is an American businessman and accomplished racing driver. Sweedler embarked on his racing career relatively late, in 2007, after already establishing himself in the business world. Despite the late start, he has achieved significant success in sports car racing.

Sweedler often partnered with Townsend Bell, beginning in 2012 with Alex Job Racing, driving various cars, including a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and a Lotus Evora GT. In 2013, they raced a Ferrari 458 Italia GT2. Following the merger of ALMS and Grand-Am, the duo moved to Level 5 Motorsports, securing a class win at the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona. They then joined AIM Motorsports, where they won the 2015 IMSA WeatherTech GT Daytona Championship in a Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GT3. In 2016, Sweedler and Bell returned to Alex Job Racing, co-driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R in the WeatherTech SportsCar GTD Championship, and later shared an Audi R8 LMS GT3 in 2017.

Sweedler's notable achievements include class victories at prestigious events such as the 12 Hours of Sebring (2013), the Rolex 24 at Daytona (2014 and 2015), and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2016). His victory at Le Mans was in the LM GTE Am class with Scuderia Corsa, alongside Townsend Bell and Jeff Segal, driving a Ferrari 458 Italia. He also secured third place in the GTE Am class at Le Mans in 2015 and 2017.
