Bernardo Sousa, born on May 16, 1987, is a Portuguese rally driver with a career spanning from national championships to the World Rally Championship stages. Hailing from Madeira, Portugal, Sousa's journey into motorsports began with karting before transitioning to rallying in 2006, where he immediately immersed himself in the Portuguese national championship.
Sousa's career gained international momentum in 2008 when he entered the Production World Rally Championship (P-WRC), a support class within the World Rally Championship. Driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX initially, he secured a notable second-place finish in class at the Acropolis Rally that same year. In 2009, he piloted an Abarth Grande Punto. The 2010 season marked a move to the Super 2000 World Rally Championship (S-WRC), where he showcased his skills behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta S2000, clinching a class victory at the Jordan Rally in 2011.
Throughout his career, Sousa has participated in 40 rallies in WRC. SnapLap data shows that he has 115 starts, 15 wins and 27 podiums. In February 2025, he participated in FIA Endurance Trophy - LMGT3 in Losail and finished DNF.
