Racing Driver Aurora Straus

Aurora Straus, born on September 17, 1998, is a 26-year-old American professional race car driver, consultant, and musician. Straus's racing career began at age 13, despite having no prior karting experience. She honed her skills in a Mazda Miata under the guidance of Stevan McAleer, the 2015 Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge Champion. She progressed through the Intercontinental Trophy Cup and Skip Barber Cup races before spending two seasons in the Battery Tender Mazda MX-5 Cup. In July 2016, she debuted in the Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge at Watkins Glen.

Aurora has achieved several milestones in her career. She was named Rookie of the Year in IMSA, secured the runner-up position in the Pirelli World Challenge, and became the first woman globally to win a race in the Radical Cup North America in 2022. SnapLap indicates that throughout her career, she has participated in 45 starts, securing 2 wins and 4 podium finishes. Besides racing, Aurora is also a founder and consultant. She worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company, specializing in growth strategy. In 2018, she founded "Girls With Drive," an initiative to introduce young girls to automotive careers.

Off the track, Straus graduated from Harvard University in 2022 with degrees in English literature and mechanical engineering. Furthering her business acumen, she is currently pursuing an MBA at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, class of 2026. She aims to apply her business knowledge to the P1 Motor Club, a new racetrack development in Florida set to open in 2026. Straus is also a musician, and plays frequently in local venues in Cold Spring and Tarrytown, NY.
