Ashley Walsh

Ashley Walsh, born on January 11, 1988, is an Australian racing driver with a diverse motorsport background. Hailing from Ipswich, Queensland, Walsh began his racing journey in karting, where he quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with, securing dual Australian Karting Champion titles in 2003. Progressing into Formula Racing, Walsh was a part of the CAMS Rising Stars program and finished as runner-up in the 2007 Australian Formula Ford Championship. His talent took him to Europe, competing in the Formula Renault 2.0 West European Cup against future Formula 1 stars like Daniel Ricciardo. He also served as a rookie test driver for Team Australia in the A1 Grand Prix series.

Returning to Australia, Walsh achieved considerable success in the Dunlop Super2 Series, driving for Matt Stone Racing (MSR). His consistent performance culminated in a second-place finish in the series in 2013. He made the leap into the Supercars Championship in 2015 with Erebus Motorsport. Since then, Walsh has become a regular in the Pirtek Enduro Cup, partnering with Tim Slade at Brad Jones Racing for multiple years, with a notable 7th place finish at Bathurst in 2016. In 2019, Walsh returned to the Dunlop Super2 Series with Matt Stone Racing, marking a reunion after several years.
