Andres Prieto

Andres Prieto is a Colombian racing driver with a passion for motorsport that began in 2002. Prieto's career spans various racing disciplines, including karting, GT racing, and Spec Miata. He has achieved success in indoor karting, winning the Junior Championship in Colombia from 2002 to 2005. In 2007, he was a TC Junior race winner and Rookie of the Year and also secured 3rd place in the 6 Hours of Bogota racing for Renault Team. In the karting world, Prieto has participated in several World Championships, with an 11th place finish in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2005 being a highlight.

Transitioning to GT racing, Prieto competed in the Hooters Racing Chevrolet Swift GT in the 6 Hours of Bogota. He also achieved 4th place in the FARA 500 Mazda MX5 race in Homestead, Florida, in 2014. More recently, Prieto has been involved in Spec Miata racing, earning the Rookie of the Year title in NASA Pro Racing and SCCA SFR region in 2019. Beyond his racing career, Prieto is also a sim racer with over 10 years of experience. He aspires to help drivers with limited financial resources enter professional racing. He organizes a league called #Racing4TheCrew to collect donations for mechanics in need. Prieto holds degrees from Universidad De Los Andes in Colombia and the University of San Diego.
