Alex Lloyd, born December 28, 1984, is a former British racing driver who demonstrated skill and determination throughout his career. Beginning in karting at age nine, Lloyd quickly rose through the ranks, securing the British Open Championship at just 14. His early success in Europe led to a Formula One test with McLaren Mercedes in 2004.
Lloyd's career gained significant momentum when he moved to the United States. In 2007, he dominated the Indy Lights Championship, winning half the races and setting records. This success propelled him into the IndyCar Series. Notably, he finished fourth in the 2010 Indianapolis 500 and was named IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year. Known as "Pink Lloyd," he also won the 2003 McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the Year award.
After retiring from racing, Lloyd transitioned into roles in content creation and marketing. He worked for companies like Beepi and Navdy, and currently serves as Head of Organic Acquisition (SEO & Content) at January AI. He also had stints as a driver coach for Indy Lights drivers and as an automotive and racing journalist. In addition to his racing achievements, Lloyd showcased his versatility by winning a one-off rally in the B-Spec class at Rally America's Lake Superior Performance Rally (LSPR) in 2014 and the 2014 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race.
