Racing Driver Abu Bakar Ibrahim Overview

Abu Bakar Ibrahim is a Malaysian racing driver who has been competing in GT racing series in Asia and Australia. He is a member of the Johor royal family and the brother of Prince Jefri Ibrahim.

Ibrahim has been involved with Triple Eight Race Engineering since 2017, making his racing debut in 2019. Triple Eight has fielded Johor entries in various GT3 competitions with both Prince Jefri and Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim. Together, they have participated in GT series in Asia and Australia and also embarked on select international events. In 2022, Triple Eight announced that Prince Abu Bakar would compete in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. In June 2023, Ibrahim and Luca Stolz were awarded victory in the second race of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS at Fuji Speedway.
