Racing Driver Rodney JANE

Rodney Jane, an Australian racing driver born on June 1, 1972, has carved out a significant career in motorsport, particularly in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia series. He made his debut in the inaugural 2003 season and continued racing until the series' temporary hiatus in 2008. Jane is a two-time SP Tools Pro-Am Class champion, having secured the title in both 2006 and 2007. Beyond his Pro-Am success, he achieved impressive outright results, finishing 8th in 2008, 9th in 2004, and 10th in 2006 in the overall championship standings.

After Carrera Cup's pause, Jane briefly transitioned to the Supercars Super2 series before returning to Porsche racing in 2013. Teaming up with Nick Percat at the Porsche Rennsport festival at Sydney Motorsport Park, he secured his first outright race victory in the championship, further solidifying his reputation. In 2023, Jane expanded his racing endeavors by making his international debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup races at Le Mans, supporting the 24 Hours of Le Mans event. This participation marked a special moment for the Jane family, as Rodney's father, Bob Jane, had supported Peter Brock and Larry Perkins in the 1984 Le Mans race. More recently, in 2024, Jane ventured into GT racing, making his GT World Challenge Asia series debut in Thailand, driving an Audi R8 GT3 for Absolute Racing.
