Peter Hackett, born on September 17, 1972, is a prominent Australian GT endurance race driver and driving instructor. Hackett's racing journey began in the UK in the mid-1990s, with participation in British Formula Vauxhall Junior and British Formula Ford Championship. He returned to Australia and has been actively involved in Australian motor racing since 2000, making a significant impact, especially in the Australian Endurance Championship. Hackett's skill behind the wheel is evident with 46 wins, 19 pole positions and 33 fastest laps out of 178 starts.

Hackett's career highlights include winning the Australian Endurance Championship in 2017 alongside Dominic Storey. This victory placed him among the most successful drivers in Australian GT history, tied with David Wall and the late Allan Simonsen at the time, with 17 victories. In 2024, he partnered with Declan Fraser in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for Triple Eight Race Engineering.
