Matteo Cairoli, born on June 1, 1996, is a highly accomplished Italian racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing disciplines. Cairoli began his racing journey relatively late, debuting in sports car racing in 2012 after initial experience in Formula Renault. He quickly made a name for himself, securing the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia title in 2014. This early success earned him the Porsche International Cup Scholarship.

Cairoli's career progressed into international sports car racing, including significant involvement with Porsche. He was a Porsche factory driver and achieved considerable success in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), including multiple race wins. A highlight was his overall victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2021. In 2024, he joined Lamborghini as a factory driver, participating in the IMSA SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In early 2025, Cairoli moved to Iron Lynx to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
