On October 25th, the SILVER ROCKET team and driver Naquib, working with Sailun PT01 high-performance tires, broke the lap record three times at the Porsche GT Track Day in a Porsche 718 GT4 RS, ultimately clocking a lap time of 2:08.80, setting a new public record for a Porsche production model at the Shanghai International Circuit!

The driver who set the record, Naquib, is a talented rising star from Malaysia. He transitioned from simulator racing, and his racing career, including simulators, spans only three years. This record-breaking feat marks not only his first time behind the wheel of a 718 GT4 RS, but also his first time at the Shanghai International Circuit.

After achieving his fastest lap, Naquib stated that a real track is far more challenging than a simulator, but this also better suits his personality, which is to pursue both limits and balance, which he believes is the charm of motorsport.
