From September 12th to 14th, the 2025 Lotus Cup China One-Make Series will kick off its third round of the year at the Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit. Renowned Hong Kong actor and singer Aaron Kwok will team up with renowned driver Poon Tak-chun, representing the H-STAR Racing team, to compete in Chengdu!

Aaron Kwok heats up the field, the powerful team aims for glory

The Chengdu round will mark the debut of the "King" in the Lotus Cup China One-Make Series. In Chengdu, Aaron Kwok will team up with Hong Kong star Poon Tak-chun, driving the No. 88 Lotus EMIRA CUP car.

Aaron Kwok's passion for racing began over two decades ago, evolving from collecting sports cars to participating in various car races. Over the past two seasons, Aaron Kwok has actively participated in various motorsports events, and last year marked a breakthrough in his racing career, reaching the podium at a national professional racing event. Aaron Kwok sees racing as a platform to challenge his limits and surpass himself, and he looks forward to demonstrating his unwavering spirit of never giving up and forging ahead in the competition.

As Aaron Kwok's teammate in this competition, Poon Tak-chun has nearly 30 years of racing experience and has won eight titles in the prestigious Macau Grand Prix. Poon Tak-chun also served as a teammate to help Aaron Kwok improve during his time in touring car racing. We believe that in this Chengdu competition, Aaron Kwok and Poon Tak-chun will once again demonstrate their tacit cooperation and strive for outstanding results.

The Lotus Cup China Single-Make Championship is a national-level event approved and hosted by the China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation. All participating vehicles are based on the production Emira, undergoing uniform technical modifications. The goal is to provide a fair competition format, providing a platform for drivers to showcase their skills.

The 2025 Lotus Cup China One-Make Race has already completed its Chengdu and Ningbo rounds. Returning to Chengdu, the race will embark on a fresh start with upgraded racing cars.

The H-STAR RACING team was founded in 2022 by renowned Hong Kong Formula One driver Hung Shou-hung. The team boasts extensive racing experience in series such as the Formula Open Championship, the Renault Super Challenge Cup, and the Macau Grand Prix. This year, the team competed in the Lotus Cup China One-Make Championship, achieving podium finishes in both of the first two rounds. They will field a completely new driver line-up for this event.

The H-STAR Racing team conducted thorough pre-race preparations for this event, specifically arranging multiple tests and vehicle adjustments tailored to Aaron Kwok's driving style and racing requirements to ensure optimal performance for the challenge. Team technicians fully optimized the No. 88 car, including chassis tuning, brake system upgrades, and powertrain refinement, to provide the driver with the most competitive vehicle possible.
