In 2021, he clinched the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America Platinum class championship with Kellymoss. He transitioned into the Carrera Cup Pro class, gaining valuable experience in 2022 and 2023. Currently, in 2024, McCarthy is partnering with Riley Dickinson in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, specifically the Michelin Pilot Challenge, driving the #91 car for Kellymoss with Riley Motorsports. McCarthy's early career highlights include a National Rotax DD2 championship win, demonstrating his versatility across different racing disciplines.
