Tatiana Calderón, born on March 10, 1993, is a trailblazing Colombian racing driver currently competing in the IMSA SportsCar Championship for Gradient Racing. Calderón's journey in motorsports began at the age of nine, quickly demonstrating her talent by winning national karting championships in both Colombia and the United States. She is also the second cousin of Nobel Peace Prize winner and former President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos.
Calderón's career progressed through various racing series, including the Star Mazda Championship, British Formula 3 International Series, and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. She made history as the first woman to stand on the podium in the British Formula 3 International Series and lead a lap in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. From 2016 to 2018, she competed in the GP3 Series and later in the 2019 Formula 2 Championship, where she became the first woman to drive and lead a lap in the series. Between 2018 and 2021, Calderón served as a development and test driver for the Sauber Formula One team (later Alfa Romeo Racing), gaining valuable experience at the pinnacle of motorsport.
Beyond single-seaters, Calderón has also made a name for herself in sports car racing, participating in events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the FIA World Endurance Championship, and the European Le Mans Series. In 2022, she ventured into IndyCar with AJ Foyt Racing and has also competed in Super Formula. In 2025, she is competing in her second season in the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
