Peter Elkmann

Peter Elkmann, born on September 16, 1981, in Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, is a highly accomplished German racing driver, primarily known for his success in Superkart racing. Elkmann's journey in motorsports began in karting from 1994 to 2003, where he secured multiple titles, including Vice-European Champion in the ICC class and Italian Vice-Champion. He further showcased his karting prowess by winning the JVO series in 2003 and becoming a two-time Dutch Karting Champion.

Transitioning to Superkart racing in 2003, Elkmann quickly made his mark, claiming pole position in the Superkart European Championship in 2004. His career then led him to Formula 3, where he achieved immediate success by securing pole position in his very first race. He competed in the Formula Three Euroseries and the German Formula Three Championship. In 2005, he won the Recaro Formula 3 Cup with Jo Zeller Racing. Peter also launched his own racing car in 2015, the Performer 1000, a more powerful version of a superkart powered by a 1000cc Suzuki engine.

Elkmann's Superkart career reached its peak with multiple European Championship titles. In 2008, he became the first German Superkart European Champion in Division 1. From 2014 to 2017, he dominated the French Superkart Championship, winning it four consecutive times. Adding to his achievements, he secured the FIA Karting European Superkart Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019. His achievements place him among the legends of Superkart racing. Besides Superkarting, Elkmann has also participated in LMP3 and GT4 racing.
