Mike Hedlund

Mike Hedlund is an American racing driver with a diverse background in motorsports. Born on October 31, 1977, Hedlund's racing journey began with motocross before resurfacing in the late 1990s. He honed his skills at High Performance Driver Education track days and the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School, initially driving his Acura NSX and Toyota Supra for fun. His first "chump car kind of race" with friends in 2011 ignited a serious racing career. Hedlund's first "professional" race was the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in January 2012, competing under the TRG banner.

Hedlund has achieved significant success in various series, including three podium finishes in the ALMS GTC class in 2013 while driving a Hertz Porsche. In 2017, he secured another podium with K-PAX Racing in a McLaren 650S GT3. That same year, he contended for the Pirelli World Challenge GTA class title. A notable victory came in 2019 at Road America, where he and co-driver Dane Cameron won overall in the Blancpain GT World Challenge America, marking RealTime Racing's 100th series win. He has raced in series such as the Pirelli World Challenge, the American Le Mans Series, and the Blancpain GT World Challenge America.

Throughout his career, Hedlund has driven for prominent teams and piloted a variety of cars, including Porsches, McLarens, and Acuras. His co-drivers have included Jan Heylen, Wolf Henzler, and Dane Cameron, among others. Hedlund's career is marked by his determination and adaptability, making him a respected competitor in the world of GT racing.
