Johnny Mowlem, born on February 12, 1969, is a British racing driver who retired from professional motorsport at the end of 2016. Mowlem's career spanned over two decades, during which he established himself as one of the premier sports car and GT drivers globally. He began his racing journey in 1990, participating in Formula Ford 1600 before being selected by Jackie Stewart for his "Staircase of Talent" program. Although his Formula One aspirations didn't materialize, Mowlem transitioned to sports car racing in 1996.

Mowlem achieved significant success in sports cars, securing the British Porsche Cup Championship in both 1996 and 1997, famously winning all 17 races in 1997. His accomplishments include a class victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona (2004) and the 12 Hours of Sebring (2007). He also earned a podium finish at the Le Mans 24 Hours. In 2013, he added another title to his name by becoming the European Le Mans Series GT champion. Mowlem competed extensively in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS), FIA GTs, GrandAm, and the World Endurance Championship.

Throughout his career, Mowlem has been involved in GT factory programs with renowned brands such as Porsche, Saleen, Zytek, Ferrari, and Lotus, contributing to the development of various GT cars and hybrid technologies. Since retiring from professional racing, Johnny Mowlem has focused on his motorsport management and mentoring agency, Red River Sport, while still participating in selected races with clients.
