Visió general del corredor

Roland Krainz is an Austrian-born racing driver who started his motorsport journey later in life, fulfilling a childhood dream of racing fast cars. While he began his career in the jewelry business, founding Krainz Creations in 1995, his passion for racing led him to participate in various racing events.

Krainz's racing journey gained momentum after attending a Skip Barber racing school in 2006 and dabbling in go-karting. He honed his skills at Monticello Motor Club and other Northeast tracks, gradually gaining confidence behind the wheel. From 2014 to 2018, he actively participated in the Porsche Club, securing two GT3 championships and finishing second overall in 2018. Known for his cautious approach, he steadily built his experience in lower horsepower cars, which helped him evolve into a fast and skilled driver. In 2021, Krainz joined the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, finishing second overall in the series. He has also competed in the SRO Motorsports series, sometimes racing alongside his son, Austin Krainz. In 2025, he participated in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge - Grand Sport.

Beyond racing, Krainz integrates his passion for motorsports with his jewelry business. He incorporates technology and engineering principles from racing into his jewelry designs and finds that the precision, calculated risks, and organizational skills required in racing complement his work in the jewelry industry. Krainz also uses racing to promote charities, particularly CURE JM, supporting his son Austin, who is in remission from Juvenile Myositis.
