Nyck de Vries, born on February 6, 1995, is a Dutch racing driver with a diverse and impressive motorsport career. Starting in karting at a young age, he quickly progressed through the ranks, showcasing his talent by winning multiple national championships. This early success led him to single-seater racing, where he clinched the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 title in 2014. De Vries continued to build his reputation with strong performances in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series and the GP3 Series.

His career highlights include winning the 2019 Formula 2 Championship and the 2020-21 Formula E World Championship with Mercedes-Benz EQ. He debuted in Formula E in 2019-20. Beyond single-seaters, De Vries has also participated in sports car racing, achieving notable results in the European Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship. He also secured a contract as a test and reserve driver for multiple Formula 1 teams, including Williams, Mercedes, McLaren, and Aston Martin.

De Vries made his Formula 1 debut at the 2022 Italian Grand Prix with Williams, substituting for Alex Albon and impressively finishing in the points. This performance earned him a full-time seat with AlphaTauri for the 2023 season. However, after ten races, he was replaced by Daniel Ricciardo. Currently, De Vries competes in Formula E with Mahindra Racing and in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Toyota, demonstrating his versatility and continued pursuit of success in various racing disciplines.
