Franck Perera, born on March 21, 1984, in Montpellier, France, is a highly accomplished professional race car driver with a career spanning various disciplines. Currently a factory driver for Lamborghini Squadra Corse, Perera has demonstrated his versatility and skill in both open-wheel and GT racing. He began his racing journey in karts in 1999 and quickly progressed through the ranks, securing the Formula Renault 2.0 Italy Championship in 2003 with an impressive seven wins.
Perera's career boasts experience in several notable series, including GP2, IndyCar, and Superleague Formula. In 2006, he competed in GP2, and later ventured into American open-wheel racing, participating in the Atlantic Championship and Indy Lights, where he secured a win at Infineon Raceway. He also gained experience as a Formula 1 test driver for Toyota in the mid-2000s. Transitioning to GT racing, Perera clinched the European Le Mans Series GTC title in 2015. He has achieved significant success in endurance racing, including multiple wins at the Daytona 24 Hours in 2018 and 2019.
In recent years, Perera has been a prominent figure in GT World Challenge Europe and IMSA SportsCar Championship, showcasing his talent with Lamborghini.
