Kazuto Kotaka

Kazuto Kotaka, born on April 17, 1999, is a Japanese racing driver currently making his mark in both Super Formula and Super GT. As a part of Toyota Gazoo Racing and the TGR Driver Challenge Program, Kotaka represents a new wave of talent emerging from Japan. He currently competes in Super Formula for Kondo Racing and Super GT for apr. His most significant achievement to date is winning the Super Formula Lights championship in 2022.

Kotaka's journey in motorsports began in 2015 when he entered the F4 Japanese Championship with TOM'S. He quickly demonstrated his potential, consistently finishing in the top 10 and securing a fourth-place finish at Suzuka International Racing Course. He continued to hone his skills in Formula 4, achieving multiple wins and podiums. In 2019, he gained international experience by participating in the Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand.

Transitioning into Super Formula Lights, Kotaka continued to impress, culminating in his championship victory in 2022. He also participates in Super GT, showcasing his versatility as a driver. In 2021, Kotaka got his Super Formula debut as a substitute for Kamui Kobayashi at KCMG.
