Tommy Field is a racing driver hailing from the United Kingdom with a diverse background in motorsports. Field's career began in karting in 1986, and by 1994, he had achieved significant success, winning the SP plate (sponsored by Williams), the GP (Grand Prix) plate, the open championship, and the O plate, in addition to finishing second in the British championship. After karting, Field transitioned to Formula Ford, where he dominated the winter series, securing 16 poles, 15 wins, and 15 fastest laps, ultimately becoming the Class B Formula Ford Zetec British champion. He also finished second in the Formula Ford Festival to Mark Webber.

Field briefly ventured into Formula 3000, participating in an extensive test program and achieving podium finishes at Spa and Magny-Cours. In 1997, he raced in the Formula 1 GP support race with Toms Toyota, finishing 7th. However, sponsorship challenges led him back to Formula Ford. He contributed to developing the 1998 car for the works Swift team, consistently contending for podium positions. He also participated in the Saloon Silhouettes Championship in 2003, finishing 3rd overall despite competing in only half of the races. More recently, Field has participated in the BARC SEC Intermarque Championship.

Beyond racing, Tommy Field established Field Motorsport, a family-run business specializing in competition engine technology. The company offers a range of services, including engine building, specification, mapping, and general servicing, drawing on Field's experience working at Mountune.
