Yutaka Yamagishi

Yutaka Yamagishi is a Japanese racing driver and motor journalist born on June 22, 1967, in Nagano, Japan. Yamagishi has been active in Japanese Super GT for over a decade and a half, showcasing his dedication to the sport. In 2016, he participated in six races of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Larbre Competition, driving a Chevrolet Corvette C7.R. During this stint, he achieved three third-place finishes, marking a notable accomplishment in his WEC career. His final WEC appearance occurred at Fuji, where he secured a sixth-place finish alongside teammates Pierre Ragues and Ricky Taylor.

Beyond his racing career, Yamagishi is also involved in motor journalism. He interviewed Riccardo Patrese, a former Formula 1 driver, creating a 40-minute video where Patrese shared memories from his racing career, including his experiences in Japan. The interview, conducted at Patrese's home in Italy, featured questions in Japanese and answers in Italian, with English subtitles provided for a broader audience.

Yamagishi holds a Bronze FIA Driver Categorisation license as of 2023. Throughout his racing career, he has participated in 84 races and secured five podium finishes.
