Yat Shing Sunny Wong

Yat Shing "Sunny" Wong, born on July 29, 1978, is a Hong Kong racing driver with a career spanning various touring car and formula series in Asia. Wong began his racing journey in 2009 in the China Formula Campus before transitioning to the Asian Formula Renault Series. He achieved 6th overall in the 2013 season. Between 2010 and 2012, he competed in the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship, securing the championship title in 2012.

In 2013, Wong raced in the Asian Touring Car Series, finishing second in the championship. The following year, he entered the China Touring Car Championship, where he finished 4th in 2015. 2015 also marked his debut in the TCR Asia Series and TCR International Series, driving a Honda Civic TCR for WestCoast Racing. In November 2019, Wong clinched a victory in the Macau Touring Car Cup, driving a Subaru Impreza WRX. More recently, in March 2025, Wong participated in the Motul 12 Hours of Sepang, driving a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the GTC class for 610 Racing, alongside teammates Yan Chuang, Peter Li Zhicong, and Leona Chin Lyweoi, taking the chequered flag.

Throughout his career, Sunny Wong has demonstrated versatility and competitiveness in different racing categories, making him a respected figure in the Asian motorsport scene. He has 28 starts in the TCR Asia Series.
