Steven Brooks

Steven Brooks is a British racing driver with extensive experience in historic motorsport. Born on November 6, 1954, Brooks has become a familiar face in Masters Historic Racing events, driving a Lola-Chevrolet T70 Mk3B in Masters Sports Car Legends, an Essex-liveried Lotus 81, and a JPS-liveried Lotus 91 in Masters Racing Legends. More recently, he has competed in the Masters Endurance Legends series, campaigning a Peugeot 90X diesel-engined LMP1 machine. In October 2022, at Spa, Brooks achieved a debut win in the Peugeot, sharing the drive with Steve Tandy.

Brooks's journey into Formula One racing started later in life. At 25, he expressed his desire to drive a Formula One car. This dream materialized when he was 55, buying a Lotus 81 specifically for racing.

His racing record includes participation in events such as the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco, where he has driven a Lotus 91. Brooks's passion extends beyond driving. He appreciates the engineering side of motorsport, enjoying the challenge of improving a car's performance. Brooks has a FIA Bronze driver categorization. In February 2025, he participated in the Asian Le Mans Series - LMP3, driving at Yas Marina and Dubai Autodrome.
