Sam Tordoff

Sam Tordoff is a British racing driver with a career spanning various high-profile championships. Born on April 19, 1989, he began karting at age eight and transitioned to cars, making his mark in the Renault Clio Cup UK, where he secured multiple podiums and a third-place championship finish. Tordoff is perhaps best known for his time in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). He debuted in the BTCC in 2010 and returned in 2013, achieving his first podium finish and pole position that year. He drove for Triple Eight Race Engineering, West Surrey Racing, and Motorbase Performance, among others, ultimately finishing as the BTCC runner-up in 2016, a mere two points behind the champion.

Beyond the BTCC, Tordoff has raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain and the Porsche Supercup. He has also participated in GT racing, including the European Le Mans Series. In 2020, he joined Acespeed Historic Motorsport for select events, showcasing his versatility across different racing disciplines. A notable aspect of Tordoff's career is his ability to balance his racing pursuits with his profession as an accountant. He also has a strong family connection to motorsport; his grandfather is rally driver and car dealer Jack Tordoff. Although he "hung up his steering wheel" in 2020, he continues to be involved with JCT600, heading up one of the group's brand divisions.
