Sam Mayer, born on June 26, 2003, is an American professional stock car racing driver who currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 41 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Haas Factory Team. Mayer's early career was marked by success in the ARCA Menards Series East, where he secured championships in both 2019 and 2020. He also claimed the inaugural championship of the ARCA Menards Series Sioux Chief Showdown in 2020. His transition to national series began with appearances in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he scored a memorable victory at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2020 at just 17 years old.
In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Mayer has become a consistent frontrunner. He secured his first Xfinity Series win at Road America in 2023, followed by victories at Watkins Glen International and the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. In 2023, he made it to the Championship 4, finishing the season third in the points standings. In 2024, Mayer won at Texas Motor Speedway.
Off the track, Mayer's father is the founder of QPS Employment Group and a former IndyCar Series driver, Scott Mayer.
