Oliver Shannon is an Australian racing driver making a name for himself in the world of motorsport. Shannon's career began in state-based production car racing in 2018. He quickly progressed, making his debut in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge in 2019, showcasing his talent on a national stage. He has also participated in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Series and Aussie Racing Cars.

In 2022, Shannon took a significant step forward by joining Tigani Motorsport for a full season in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge. This commitment demonstrated his dedication to the sport. Alongside his racing pursuits, Shannon also works as a qualified mechanic for the Wollongong-based team, highlighting his all-around involvement and passion for racing. He also secured an A1 class victory in the Bathurst 6 Hour race twice.

Shannon's career has continued to evolve, including a drive with GWR Australia in the Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge. This opportunity allowed him to gain experience in a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup car and work with a professional engineer to analyze data and improve his performance. He is aiming to compete in GT3 Cup full time in the future.
