Nicolas Prost, born on August 18, 1981, is a French professional racing driver and the son of four-time Formula One World Champion Alain Prost. Despite his father's legacy, Nicolas began his racing career relatively late, at the age of 22, in Formula Campus. He also is a golfer and has won several tournaments during his time at Columbia University in New York.
Prost has competed in various racing series, including Formula Renault, Spanish Formula 3 Championship, A1 Grand Prix, and the FIA World Endurance Championship. He achieved success in the Euroseries 3000, winning the championship in 2008. He also participated in the Electric Andros Trophy, securing the title twice. He was a test and development driver for the Lotus F1 team.
His biggest successes have come in the FIA World Endurance Championship with privateer team Rebellion Racing, and in Formula E with Renault e.dams. He has achieved numerous class wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, his best result being fourth place overall in 2014. Most recently, Prost competed in the FIA Formula E Championship, spending four seasons with Renault e.dams.
