Neel Jani

Neel Jani, born on December 8, 1983, is a Swiss professional racing driver with Indian roots. He has built a successful career spanning various racing disciplines, including Formula Renault, GP2 Series, A1 Grand Prix, and Formula One as a test driver. However, he achieved his greatest success in endurance racing, particularly with Porsche's LMP1 program.

Jani joined Porsche in 2014, competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). His career highlights include winning the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016 and securing the FIA WEC World Drivers Championship in the same year. He has consistently demonstrated his talent and experience in endurance racing, securing multiple wins and podium finishes in events like the Petit Le Mans. Beyond his achievements with Porsche, Jani also contributed to A1 Team Switzerland's victory in the 2007-2008 A1 Grand Prix season.

Currently, Neel Jani continues to be involved in racing. He participates in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) with DUQUEINE Team and the FIA WEC with Proton Competition. He also contributes to Audi's Formula 1 efforts as a simulator driver, aiding in the development of their power unit in preparation for their entry into F1 in 2026.
