Matej Homola

Matej "Maťo" Homola, born on July 19, 1994, is a Slovak racing driver making waves in the world of touring car racing. Currently competing in the TCR Eastern Europe with Janík Motorsport, driving a Hyundai Elantra N TCR, Homola has established himself as a prominent figure in the TCR scene. Beyond racing, he serves as a Hyundai N ambassador for Slovakia, further solidifying his connection with the brand.

Homola's career boasts a consistent climb through various racing series. Before TCR, he honed his skills in the European Touring Car Cup (ETCC) for Homola Motorsport, achieving runner-up positions in the S2000 class in both 2013 and 2014. In 2015, he transitioned to the Single-makes Trophy, piloting a SEAT León Cup Racer and even made a one-off appearance in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) at the Slovakian round. A significant milestone came in 2018 when Homola joined the FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) with DG Sport Competition, driving a Peugeot 308 TCR. He secured a memorable victory at Vila Real in Portugal, battling against seasoned champions.

Throughout his career, Homola has demonstrated his versatility and determination, securing numerous wins, podiums, and pole positions.
