Luca Riccitelli

Luca Riccitelli, born on June 1, 1971, is a highly accomplished Italian racing driver with a career spanning several decades. Motorsport runs deep in his family, with his father and uncle actively involved in car preparation and racing since the 1960s. Luca began his own journey in the 1980s, achieving considerable success in Italian National Karting. His transition to single-seater race cars in 1991 marked a significant step, quickly distinguishing himself and finishing second in the 1994 Italian Formula 3 Championship.

Riccitelli's career boasts victories across various racing categories, including British Formula 2 and Super Formula, where he won 4 out of 5 races. In 1997, he shifted his focus to touring and GT-based car categories, competing in the FIA GT Championship. The following year, he secured the ISRS European Championship while racing a prototype sportscar and also claimed numerous GT race wins behind the wheel of a Porsche 993 GT3. A defining moment came in 1999 when he stood on the top step of the podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GT3 class, driving a Porsche 996 GT3 for the Porsche Motorsport Factory Team.

Throughout the 2000s, Riccitelli continued to achieve significant milestones with Porsche, including a podium finish at the Daytona 24 Hours and victories in international FIA GT series, the American Le Mans Series, and the Porsche Super Cup. Throughout his racing career, Luca has started in 169 races, with 18 wins, 46 podiums, 10 pole positions and 8 fastest laps. Beyond his racing achievements, Luca Riccitelli is also a dedicated instructor, bringing the same passion and commitment to coaching as he did to racing, including for manufacturers like Porsche and Lamborghini. This experience inspired him to create the LR Driving Academy. Currently, Luca Riccitelli is not actively competing.
